World Branding Awards 2019-2020: Brand of the Year winner
On 14 November 2019, an awards ceremoney was held for the 2019 World Branding Awards (WBA) hosted by the World Branding Forum (WBF*) at Kensington Palace (London, England). At this event, Yakult received a Brand of the Year award as one of the world’s outstanding brands, for the third consecutive year.
The WBA are the principal awards of WBF which is a global non-profit organisation. Commencing in 2014, these are international awards presented to global and national brands for their work and achievements in branding. WBA has three tiers of awards: a Global Award for international brands, a Regional Award presented to brands with a strong presence across several countries in a particular geographic region, and a National Award presented to top brands in participating countries.
Awards nominees are judged on a combination of three distinct metrics: brand valuation, consumer market research, and public online voting. This year, awards were made to 318 brands across 41 countries.
